The Kingston Wind Band (KYWB) is our intermediate group of brass, woodwind and percussion players (grades two to five). The level of playing is higher than that of Kingston Training Band, with a varied repertoire that includes film, TV and show music, jazz and swing, as well as traditional wind band compositions and arrangements.
The Kingston Youth Concert Band (KYCB) is for advanced woodwind, brass and percussion players. The repertoire is challenging and extremely varied, including arrangements and original works for concert bands from a wide range of genres. KYCB performs at many high profile concerts and events throughout the year and takes part in an annual tour to Europe every summer.
Kingston Wind Orchestra is our ensemble for adults. The band welcomes adults who are at a good standard or who have been at least grade 2 at some point in the past and would like more opportunities to play, this is a fun and informal group of woodwind, brass and percussion players who meet five times a term to practice some enjoyable repertoire. They perform at the Canbury Gardens Bandstand each year in the summer.
