Biodiversity in Kingston
As an outer London borough, Kingston is surrounded by significant greenspaces, making it strategically important for wildlife populations to connect with other areas. With 37% greenspace covering 1,369 hectares, Kingston supports a diverse range of habitats, including ancient woodlands, the internationally rare Hogsmill chalk stream, hedgerows, ponds, and grasslands.
