Discounts for religious communities
You may be exempt from paying Council Tax if you are a member of a religious community, for example, a nun or a monk.
To be exempt from paying Council Tax, you must not have:
- an income, except a pension from previous employment
- any capital of your own
How to apply
Use our general enquiries form to make your claim. Tell us:
- your Council Tax account number
- the address where you wish to claim the discount
- your name
- your financial details, for example, your pension, capital and any income
