Tell us what you think of the website
Welcome to your brand new Council website. This is a beta version, not yet live to residents. We'd love to know what you think.
Find out about Retrofit which makes your home more energy efficient, reducing energy use, understanding your home's energy saving potential and Energy Performance Certificate (EPCs).
With any building projects, there are poorly designed and poorly executed retrofits which may have a negative impact on the health of your home. A qualified retrofit coordinator, trained designer, architect or building surveyor will assess the risks of any retrofit project and make sure all potential risks are dealt with. This should include issues with damp and mould, ensuring good ventilation and reducing the risk of overheating.
All retrofit projects should make sure that all planning considerations are taken into account. This includes ensuring all works consider conservation areas, planning regulations, building control, and listed buildings. Visit our dedicated retrofit planning web pages for more information.
