Information about what kind of services adult social care offers, and what we do and do not provide.

Meeting care standards

We provide adult social care to the standards set out by The Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Department of Health

The CQC is the social care regulator for England. It aims to ensure better care for everyone in a hospital, care home, or anyone receiving care at home.

Our CQC inspection result

Kingston’s Adult Social Care services have been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), following an inspection in early 2025.

The CQC is the independent regulator for health and social care in England. Their inspection looked at how well we support people to live safe, independent and fulfilling lives, and how we lead and work in partnership across the borough.

What the inspectors found

The report highlights:

  • strong and supportive leadership
  • a clear focus on prevention and early support
  • positive relationships with local health and voluntary sector partners
  • staff who feel valued, confident and well supported in their roles

We’re proud of this result, and grateful to the residents, carers, staff and partners who contributed to the inspection.
