Tell us what you think of the website
Welcome to your brand new Council website. This is a beta version, not yet live to residents. We'd love to know what you think.
Find out about composting, reusable nappies, where to recycle books, clothes and shoes and find local repair cafes and clothes-swap events.
We recognise the efforts that residents make to sort out their household rubbish for recycling and composting. To ensure your efforts are worthwhile, we go to great lengths to ensure your recycling and rubbish is reused, recycled or disposed of in the most cost-effective and environmentally sustainable way possible.
We are part of the South London Waste Partnership along with the boroughs of Croydon, Merton and Sutton. The partnership is responsible for handling the recycling and rubbish of all 4 boroughs once it's been collected from residents.
More information about where your recycling and rubbish ends up, and what happens to it, is available on the South London Waste Partnership website.
We work with our commercial partners to offer tours of local recycling and waste treatment facilities. Whether you’re an interested individual, a member of a local community group or a teacher looking to organise a school visit, you are all welcome to attend one of our organised tours of our waste facilities.
