Why we've built a new website

We've redesigned the Council website so it's easier for everyone to use and find what they need.

It will also be easier and more cost-effective for us to maintain.

What's different

You'll notice the website has a fresh new look and feel, and some extra features such as:

• 'quick links' at the top of each service section
• improved search functionality
• descriptions on menu items
• links to related Council services
• links to partner services such as Connected Kingston

We've organised some sections a bit differently, but the information is the same as on the old website.

No change to services

It's only the website itself that has changed. Council services and the way you access them are the same.

When you'll stop seeing the old website

The old Council website will remain live for a short time, until we're confident we can switch it off.

If you click on a link to an old webpage after that, you'll be taken automatically to the same information on the new site.
