Foreign pension / Proof of Life documents

If you're a British, Irish, Commonwealth or European Union citizen and receive a pension from another country, we may be able to provide a Confirmation of Registration or Proof of Life (free of charge) to confirm you are eligible to receive a pension from another country.

Before we book an appointment for you we will need you to provide us with a scanned copy of the documentation from the country requiring confirmation, to assess if this is something we can provide. You will need to email a copy of the documentation you have been provided with to electoral.services@kingston.gov.uk

Upon receipt of your email, we will arrange an appointment for the completion of the form.

Each person named on the ‘Proof of life’ form will need to attend the appointment and bring the following:

• the ‘Proof of life’ form you need us to authorise
• a valid passport, driver's licence, bus pass or other photo ID

You'll also need to bring one of the following to prove your address:

• a utility bill dated no more than 3 months before the date of your appointment
• a bank or building society statement or passbook dated no more than 1 month before the date of your appointment
• a council tax bill dated no more than 1 year before the date of your appointment

If the person needing the confirmation of registration or proof of life is unable to attend the Guildhall please contact the Electoral Services team at electoral.services@kingston.gov.uk or 020 8547 5026 so that we can make alternative arrangements
