Statement on power disruption at Guildhall complex, October 2024

Learn more about the power disruption at the Guildhall offices and what we did about it

The power disruption at the Guildhall offices has now been fixed. Council phone lines are operating as normal and IT systems are being restored. 

Some services may be experiencing backlogs as online systems are returned to full operation in phases. However arrangements continue to be in place to ensure any disruption is minimised and residents can access the services they need. 

The Guildhall 2 building has reopened and parking at the Guildhall site has returned to normal operating arrangements.  

The council website is operating as usual for information and advice and log requests.
