Tell us what you think of the website
Welcome to your brand new Council website. This is a beta version, not yet live to residents. We'd love to know what you think.
Find out what you need to do to book exams, find local music events and find out more about the music therapy centre at the Hook Centre in Chessington.
KMS hold many events during the year. Visit our events page for details of all our up and coming events:
KMS do not coordinate music exams centrally, however it is very easy for parents to book music exams, whether instrumental, vocal or theory. Please speak to your music tutor for advice before booking any eaxams to make sure the student is ready to take the exam. You will find some links to current offers from the main exam boards, most of whom offer exams in person as well as digitally:

KMS can put you in touch with a piano accompanist if you need one for your exam but this will incur a charge. Contact musicservice@kingston.gov.uk for more information.
Taking part in music therapy helps support positive change and enables people to reach their full potential. It builds confidence and encourages physical, emotional, mental and social wellbeing.
We are working in partnership with Richmond Music Trust to establish a new music therapy centre at the Hook Centre in Chessington. Richmond’s Music Therapy Service will be delivering therapy sessions on a small group or one to one basis.
