A public consultation took place between 17 October and 17 November 2016 on our initial proposals for the Kingston to Tolworth route.
The consultation leaflet was available online and posted to 7,149 households, with letters sent to a further 2,485 residents and businesses. 742 people took the time to feedback their views. Of those who responded 51 per cent were in favour of the overall scheme proposals and 42 per cent were opposed.

The aim of the consultation was to get feedback and insight to the initial design concepts.
Key findings from the consultation include:
Penrhyn Road/Surbiton Road improvements
What you said: 51 per cent of the people who responded to the consultation were in favour and 38 per cent were opposed.
What we are doing about it:
Ewell Road Section 1 (St. Mark's Hill to Brown's Road) improvements
What you said: 48 per cent of people who responded to this part of the consultation were in favour of the proposals while 43 per cent were opposed.
What we are doing about it:
Ewell Road Section 2 (Brown's Road to Douglas Road) improvements
What you said: 52 per cent of people who responded to this part of the consultation were in favour and 37 per cent were opposed.
What we are doing about it:
Respondents were also asked about parking bays in Ewell Road Section 2 and whether uncontrolled parking bays should be changed to pay and display. Of those who responded 41 per cent answered 'yes' and 59 per cent answered 'no'. Following an assessment, current parking arrangements in this section will remain.
Ewell Road Section 3 (Douglas Road to Tolworth Broadway) improvements
What you said: Of those who responded to this 48 per cent were in favour and 40 per cent of people were opposed.
