What are development briefs?
We prepare development briefs to guide the future redevelopment of specific sites. By providing more detailed site analysis, development principles and an urban design framework, they provide landowners, developers and the wider community, clear guidance for all new developments within the development brief area. They seek to achieve the comprehensive and holistic redevelopment of a large area.
The purpose of development briefs is to:
- Improve the quality and consistency of advice provided to developers;
- Improve the efficiency of the planning and development process; and
- To improve the quality of the built environment.
