This isn’t the same as planning permission, but it is proof that your building work is lawful.
Lawful development certificates are not compulsory. Before you apply, you should check to see if you need planning permission.
You’ll need to submit:
Your application will be judged purely against legislation, and it doesn’t require your neighbours to be notified.
You can apply for a lawful development certificate using the Planning Portal.
