Pay to have your planning application determined more quickly than the statutory date of 8 weeks. You’ll need to request this when you submit your planning application.
You can pay to have your planning application determined more quickly than the statutory date of 8 weeks. We call this our fast track service.
This can be helpful if you have a builder waiting to start work, or you need building work to start or finish by a certain date.
The fast track fee is in addition to the cost to submit your planning application.
Types of applications you can fast track

You cannot fast track applications for listed buildings or properties in a conservation area.
If you want to fast track, you must tell us when you submit your planning application.
You’ll need to say that you want to fast track at the start of the proposal description on your planning application form. For example, your proposal description could be ‘(Fast Track) Erection of a single storey rear extension’.
If you are submitting your application using the Planning Portal, you will need to meet the requirements detailed in our fast track service requirements page.
