It is important that you do your best to look for a job to support you and your family.
If you are on Universal Credit you must attend all of your appointments at the JobCentre and actively look for employment.
There are lots of organisations that can help you find a job. For example;
The Resettlement Team at Kingston Council regularly share events and programmes that you are eligible for. These are a great way to get into employment so make sure you sign up for everything that is offered to you.
Kingston Council also regularly hold Job Fairs. You can find out more and see when the next Job Fair is here. If you need a translator contact your caseworker or email refugee-migrantschemes@kingston.gov.uk

There are lots of opportunities for you to improve your skills and increase your chances of finding employment.

You can join your local library to borrow books, use the internet and computer. Register with any of the 7 libraries in the borough for free.
