The Council is aware of the impact that the increased cost of doing business is having on businesses. To support you to navigate the various support available we have collated a list of resources which you may find helpful.

Local, Regional and National Support Resources

The UK Government provides a list of finance and Support available to businesses nationally and regionally. 

You can also find out how to apply for a government-backed Start Up Loan of £500 to £25,000 to start or grow your business.  You’ll get free support and guidance to help write your business plan, and successful applicants get up to 12 months of free mentoring.

The Royal Borough of Kingston has set up a dedicated webpage which highlights the resources available for residents to access who have been adversely affected by the increased cost of living.

Avoid and report internet scams and phishing In the current precarious economic climate, fraudsters will be more active and will elicit tactics to attempt to defraud you of your money or personal details.  Make sure you are kept abreast of some of the more common practices and report them if you believe you have been contacted or a victim of fraudulent activities.
